    Idea or Suggestion Mysql database

    Here's the quick story

    My hosting company deleted my site - Yeah I know!!

    I have a backup of the database on mysql

    I want to import it to a new zencart installation

    How do i do it?

    You should be able to do it using phpMyAdmin from your webmaster panel.

    I take it you've created the database and installed Zen Cart already using zc_install.

    Yes the database has been uploaded to myphp

    but zen cart doesnt seem to be able to see it

    Check that the information in your config files matches the database information. Especially that the passwords match.

    Yes they look the same - have just changed the password to something else and it didnt site load. Changed the password back and now it loads

    But still nothing!

    First, make sure that the OLD user and password are assigned to the current database and that the OLD user and password are what's in the config files.

    Second, check this thread and see if it helps. I kinda doubt it, but it's worth a try.

    Hello,

    AFO is correct, just to add check to see if your database prefix is correct if using one as some hosts install setups use a zen_ or zc_ for database prefix
