Strange Admin Login

Hi dear folks!

New comer here. Just installed Zencart and when I try to log into my administrator account, the log in screen refreshes, clearing my username password input. In other words it kicks me in the same login screen.
The login name and password is correct since I tried a willingly wrong one and at that point the "You entered the wrong username or password" message appears.

Any clue what am I doing wrong? I am with Apache on a Windows machine...

If the admin login page is looping back to itself, it means it couldn't create a working PHP session for you to safely login.

Possible causes:
- cookie-blocking software ... perhaps in browser or in firewall tools
- browser cookie cache is full or corrupt
- webserver PHP configuration isn't doing session support properly
- session cache folder isn't writable
- webserver can't get a match between the session cookie details and the domain name being used to access the admin
- etc

I managed to fix this in Firefox by clearing the specific cookies relevant to the domain I had zencart installed on.

I was using Firefox and IE to test this, both browsers had the same issue, which suggests perhaps there might be some kind of bug?

Firefox worked fine, IE still has the problem after deleting cookies... Perhaps a restart will remedy this.

I have installed zencart recently on another server without this issue.

I rulled out the browser since I did another install on a Linux server. There I can login all right.
I am suspecting the php setting. I have register_globals turned off, I thought thats the thing...

Hello,

I have same kind of problem. After migrating from one server to another - everything works, except login to zencart admin. No error message either, just thrown back to original state (login again).

Can anybody advise how to test what exactly is the problem here?
