How to launch??? Need to move to main folder

I think I am dumb...

I am ready to launch my site. I want to move from
www.recycledbyhyena.com/Hyena

to

www.recycledbyhyena.com

When I go here: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=122, it is said that I need to rename the folder. But into what and where?
I got all the file I will need to change, I know where they are and so on.

Could someone please help me on that?

In your case, you're moving all the files "up a level" ... not renaming the folder.

ie: you have /public_html/Hyena ... and you need to move everything up to just /public_html

So, use your FTP program and drag-and-drop all the files/folders from inside Hyena onto the ".." option inside the Hyena folder ... that way your FTP program can move them up a folder.

Of course, if you don't have a ".." item in your folders list, you'll have to figure out how to do it with *your* specific FTP program.

Except I am using WS_FTP pro and there is not ".." folder in my directory. I cannot access the public_htm directory from there.

Can it be done directly from my host panel?

Navigate into your Hyena folder.
Select all files+folders.
Right-click on the selected files.
Choose "Operations" and then "Move Files..."
Then type ".." (without quotes) into the box, and then click OK.

Then update your configure.php files by removing "/Hyena" in all paths.

ahem...not working. Do I have to change the Sessions in the Admin panel and remove the Hyena path as well.

I was able to move the files, my ftp was ok, but the changes don't reflect in my host panel and in the public_htm directory.

Plus, when I try to change the path in the configure.php files, I get an error and it saves the file and doesn't take my changes.

If the configure.php files were marked as read-only, you will have to make them read-write before you can upload changes to them. Be sure to make them read-only again.

ok, I have made a mess

do I need to remove all the /Hyena occurences, or just the ones specified in the FAQ? Because I think I have removed too many...
