img link not working in category description

I enter this code into the text area for a category description (non HTMLarea) - I am trying to have a 'coming soon' for the categories:
<img src="http://www.jm-offroad.com/images/manufacturers/cage_banner.gif" />

In the preview it shows correctly, then I save it and it changes to a comment with lots of space:

Help anyone?

the text shows up but not the link. Is the <img> tags restricted?

I decided I would use this mod to show my images. Seems to work. http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...ry+description

I did have my .categoryimg class set dispaly:none but even if I commented that out it did not show the image.
