Problem uploading images

Hey, i know this question has been asked a million times before, but i have looked around and cant find any help for me specific question.

I am trying to upload images to the main directory however when trying to it tells me that it is unable to upload the images.

Below is a screen shot of my server's files. You can see where the permissions is i am unable to change the var directory as it is not underlined.


I am using Plesk for my file server .

I am pretty new to Zen Cart so i'm learning as i go. Is it possible to change the directory where the temp file is saved, because its saying the it cannot save the temp file, due to restrictions.

Am i doing something wrong

In your Zen Cart admin, there is a "Version" tab in the upper right corner. Click on it.

Now look for the settings for:
- file_uploads
- upload_max_filesize
- upload_tmp_dir
- user_dir

What are they?

What is your hosting company telling you about the problems doing uploading via PHP?

I have not asked the hosting company about my problems, i though i would rule out my own mistakes first.

In version the File uploads is marked as 'On'
The Max File size is '2M'
Upload_tmp_dir = 'no value'
user_dir = 'no value'

You might be able to specify an upload_tmp_dir setting via a custom php.ini file; that way you could set a folder to be writable, and it would use that for doing uploads. Typically the server's "tmp" folder would be used for that purpose.

But, sometimes the hosting company prohibits the use of php.ini overrides.


You've never said what exactly your upload failure error messages were ...
