Default Paypal Seal asking me to Log In

When I hit the Paypal verification seal on my site it takes me to the Paypal Log In Page. I am not sure if the Paypal site is recognizing my computer or IP address or if the seal is not working properly. I tried clearing all of my private data and still got the same results. Am I doing something wrong?

link problem Re: Paypal Seal asking me to Log In

This seems to be a problem that others are having also. I have found at least 3 other threads that have mentioned the Paypal Verified Seal linking to the Paypal Log In area instead of a verification page and the question has not been answered on any of them. Please let me know if there is a fix for this or I am just going to remove the contribution from my site completely.

I'm starting to suspect it's meant to be this way. If so, I'm certainly uninstalling. Can anyone confirm?

As far as I know, the login is required. PayPal won't give any info about a vendor without logging in. Why does the login bother you?

Well not everyone has a PayPal account in order to verify someone. For those that do, I just think it's an extra step which has little purpose. In any case, I've since decided to keep it.

I did not know, prior to reading this thread, that this log in request was deemed to be a fault. Having said this and read the other post's, I will be keeping it also, since it does appear to serve a purpose. It also took me a couple of hours to install after initial trial and error

I have placed a question about this contrib in the overrides section.

I was just digging around to find out about the same thing. It seems Paypal's position is that this is "member only" data, so they do not view the login requirement as a bug or defect. (I find this reasoning flawed, but they didn't ask me.)
