I changed template and lost sideboxes

I had my site all perfect with a test template. I copied all the files to a new folder with the name of the template that I wanted it to be and when I loaded it everything looked fine except the sideboxes were gone. Do I need to copy over some other files?

I did copy over all the tpl files in my sideboxes folder.

When installing new template, you have to activate sideboxes for that template,
via admin..then tools, then...layoutboxes controller..
