Default WTF? Override doesn't work at all

I don't understand what the problem could be. I'm not new to the concept of CSS, so I installed the CUSTOM folder in includes/templates just as indicated and changed every #hex color value I could find to #ff0000 just to see if it worked.

    Nothing changed.

After using Firefox web-dev toolbar to Disable Cache, force-refreshing, using a different browser and even specifically force-refreshing the override CSS file itself a few times...

I finally decided I would take my test to the next level:

I deleted all the CSS files from the template_default directory. Nothing changed. Then I deleted all the CSS files from the classic directory. Nothing changed. Then I deleted all the CSS from both the template_default and the classic directories. Then it displayed without any CSS whatsoever. Finally! Something happened, at least!

    So, I must ask: wtf?

Did you create your custom template info page and then activate your template in the Admin? See the FAQ section for more How tos.

I created the template info page, but I must've missed the part about going into Admin and activating it!

    Thanks!

When all else fails, read the instructions.
