    Default Admin password/username help?

All of the sudden my website admin login screen says that the password or username i'm putting in was wrong - but i've been using it for 2 weeks now.

Tried resending password to my admin e-mail acct, but it is still not working.

    Any ideas?

I had the exact same problem. All was fine for 2 years and this morning - nothing. I did the following:

1.Went to MySQL - deleted user and re-created - no go
    2. Tried 'resend password' - no go
    3. Look up in FAQ = (click here) - went to PHPAdmin - ran SQL statement to change to Admin/admin. No Go.

At First when I was trying it via my SQL it was giving me "wrong username or password" errors. After SQL statement, I enter Admin/admin and it comes back with the fields blank - no error message.

    I confirmed changes in configure.php

After about 15 minutes - I got in with the Admin/admin fix.

Don't know what the delay was - I also contacted my host and made sure nothing got 'locked' with all my tries.

    Good luck
    Laura

Sometimes admin login problems (esp when no error message is displayed) are a result of bad cookies cached in your browser. Clearing your browser's cache and cookie history and restarting the browser often resolves it.

Thanks! I forgot to mention that I did that as well. I even tried a different browser, MSE.

For future reference - would you recommend going in via MySQL to recreate or via PHPAdmin?
