    help question Upgrading question

I have two stores to upgrade: one from 1.3.6 and the other from 1.3.7. I am seeing a number of errors/bugs that I will need to fix after the upgrade. So I know the estimate of hours this will take me, I am wondering whether I should plan on going through the three pages from the sticky at the top and include that into my upgrade plans for time set aside.

Last time I upgraded my cart, I had to upload all of my ebook/image files again. I am so hoping that doesn't happen as I have over 300 files now.

    Thanks,

    Marci

Many of these should only apply if you are using the specified modules/functions

Depending on how you intend on doing this and your account management tools you can copy your ebooks etc versus uploading

Thanks, Cobra. I have very few add ons to my store. I may look for some after upgrading, but beyond the built-in ones, I haven't added for this very reason. :)

Would it be easier to do a fresh install or upgrade?

I am having problems uploading my old database into my new one so that I can do the upgrade. Rather than importing, I am thinking of just running sql script. Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

    Thanks!

What Database tool do you have and how large is your DB in bytes?

    Is it phpmyadmin?

It is myPHPadmin. The DB is 6.8 MB unzipped. When zipped, it's only 888KB. My host allows up to 51MB, so it shouldn't be an issue.

That is correct - So what issue are you having?

Nothing happens. I choose the file. The character set is utf8. The page begins to load, but never uploads the DB.

So, I was thinking of just inserting in at the SQL place in myPHPadmin, but I don't know if there is a specific command I needed to use. I just want to see what happens when I upgrade the DB.

    Thanks!
