1.3.8 and Admin Profile

This is my first time trying to upgrade, so please bear with me...
I created a new "store" with 1.3.8 and upgraded my DB O.K. Now I am trying to re-install first of the many add-on (Admin Profile) I am using. I cannot figure out which part of the admin/include/boxes/all files but 2( configuration & tools) I should be using. All seven in question have a newer date of modification (2007)in 1.3.8 and in those provided by Admin Profile it does not show which parts were modified for the Admin Profile add on.
I was wondering if those good & smart people, who were kind enough to let their add ons be provided for us who are not up-to-it, would be "upgrading" their modules for this new release??

well admin/include/boxes/tools should be also included in my message above.... only one file - configuration_dhtml.php I can figure out...
