how to disable ordering

I'm not sure if this has been answered before or what, but I believe you guys have a quick answer for this.

The holidays are coming soon so we thought that there'd be temporarily no orders between the days December 23 and January 2. Placing the notice is easy but how do one disable the checkout of the store without uninstalling the payment options? Since we've been accepting international orders, my list of payment configuration is simply too big and tiresome to reinput all those values.

Anyone got an idea?

Switch the store mode from Regular shop to Showcase mode. That will disable the cart functions but allow visitors to browse.

Admin> Configuration> My Store> Store Mode

Thanks for the quick reply! Never thought it would be that simple. :)

However, I'm still using the old 1.3.6 version on another store and it seems that this solution isn't available yet. Can you help me how to fix this, even if I have to modify some hardcoded stuff. It's only temporary.

Oh wait. Sorry, found the Store Status... Showcase mode's there.
How come logging in is disabled too? I was hoping they could add to their carts but won't proceed to payment. Or maybe that they can still check/see on their previous orders.
