Main info on all pages ???

I had my site set up just how i liked it... then i broke the "Checkout" and just couldn't fix it... so i started the whole thing over...

What i did have was:
on my main page... i had my blurb... and the the Category images below that...
and when you clicked a category image it went to that category with the image at the top... and the list below...

Now...
I can get my "Categories" below my blurb on my main page...
and when you click a Link on the categories sidebox... the linked page shows my "Main Blurb" and nothing else...

I have looked and looked...

I still have 1st attempt set up on another server... and i have gone thru the admin menus and checked them against my new site... and they all seam the same...

Help... i just cant see what im doing wrong....

I can't look at your site because you have it shut down, so I'm not sure, but suggest you check admin > Configuration > Product Info > Images and other display settings. Also Catalog > Catalog/Products > click on the "e" of a category and scroll down below the text entry field and check the image status. If you see IMAGE DOES NOT EXIST, you should look into that issue. Make sure your database is connecting properly.

And, I'd suggest you use Showcase mode if possible as you work on your site instead of the DownforMaintenance whenever possible. That way others can see the products and contact you for further info. Just no cart navigation to pay online. You'll see. Configuration > My Store > Store status, then you see 3 radio buttons on the right after you click to edit it.
