Changing Free Shipping Text

We have setup a store simply for ordering. We do not accept payments. All payments are via invoice. We consolidate orders over a 2 week period and ship and bill 2 times per month. This means we can not calculate shipping costs until the time we ship.

We have set all items as Free Shipping. We want to be able to modify the text on the check-out pages and order confirmation emails to replace 'Free Shipping' with alternative text. I have looked through-out the forum and not seen anything specific to modifying these values. They do not seem to be constants in any of the obvious files (english.php, checkout_payment.php, etc). Anyone have an idea of a way to make this change?

You could customize the language file on Free Shipping freeshipper in the:
/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/freeshipper.php

and copy to:
/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/your_template_dir/freeshipper.php

I skip the entire shipping calculation step during checkout since all items are attributed to ship for free (I only have 2 steps in the c/o process). The text I am trying to change is on the the 2 check-out pages (payment information and order confirmation). The freeshipper.php file only seems to have text for the Shipping page (which I am not using). There is not text that = 'Free Shipping' which is what shows on these 2 pages as part of the Totaling of the order costs.

Am I missing something?

What are you using to indicate Free Shipping?

The Always Free Shipping or Virtual Product?

Always free shipping (set up at the product level)

Are these Products Downloads by chance?

Always Free Shipping does go to the checkout_shipping and utilizes the Free Shipping freeshipper shipping module ...

They are not downloads. When I say that it skips the shipping, I meant that the purchaser does not see the shipping step during check-out. Since all of the products are marked as free shipping, you just get the 2nd and 3rd steps of the checkout process.

I thought I could modify the freeshipper.php file to utilize a different text string then Free Shipping, but that value is not stored in that file or any other file that I can find. I am assuming freeshipper sets this value inthe DB in the order table.

Caan you look to see if in the Modules ... Order Totals ... Shipping ot_shipping if you edit that does it say Free Shipping true and set to orders over 0.00 ...

Always Free Shipping still goes to the checkout_shipping page even though the shipping if free ...
