There was a security error when trying to login. ADMIN - only from my laptop

Hello All,
Thanks for reading!

O'kay, I have recently installed a new cart. Version 1.3.8, using any computer in the world I can login to admin. Not from my laptop! Never have been able to.

I use firefox(newest) and IE7 on an XPpro w/sp2 os on all computers.
From the laptop FF or IE = no admin login. Have cleared every kind of history, cookies, private data, , , , Everything but remembered passwords! Now after going through this again just for the heck of it I also created a new admin account in the shop using another comp.

Having all stored stuff cleared I can login with IE7. Firefox I get an error :
Username
Password
There was a security error when trying to login.

From your laptop, can you add things to your cart okay?
What happens if you try to login as a customer?
What firewall software do you have running on your laptop?

Thanks for the reply! Wow! didn't know my windows firewall would do that.

Read your reply, turned off the wall and Im in! Thank you.
Have never had a problem with login or checkout through the front side or /cpanel.

This was driving me insane.

If your firewall software is blocking Session Cookies, then you will almost always have problems using PHP sites driven by sessions.
You can probably tweak your firewall setup a bit to still protect you from other risks but still let you create session cookies when needed.
