Problems With Attributes Stock

I have installed the 'Attributes Stock' mod which allows me to enter a stock figure for each size of a particular product, but when I tried a test purchase, it allowed me to complete a sale for more items than should have been available.

For example, I have available 3 packets of size 10 Kamasan B960 fishing hooks.

When I added 9 packets of these hooks to my basket and went through checkout, it didn't at any point say there wasn't enough stock to complete the order.

I was under the impression that this mod wouldn't allow anyone to order more than was available.

Hope I have explained the problem properly..

I don't know how the mod works, but there is an admin setting (Configuration > Stock > Allow Checkout) that may do what you want.

I tried the Admin setting but it's made no difference.

In the mod read me notes it talks about setting the stock configuration to not allow customers to proceed to checkout if an item is out of stock, but it seems that zencart isn't recognising when an item is out of stock...

I'll see if I can track down the creator of the mod..

Doubt you'll manage to track down the creator of the mod. But if you do, give him my regards.

If you consult either of the support threads for this mod, you'll find that this is a common problem, which in every case I have investigated (ran out of fingers to track them on, so don't do it any more) was due to an installation problem. More info in the support threads.
