strange error message - due to HTMLAREA?

i tried to add the html editor, but since then, a strange error message comes up saying:
"Mozilla < 1.3 Beta is not supported!
I'll try, though, but it might not work."

and now it doesnt seem to allow me to edit products at all (i make changes, but they just don't stick) and even though i've turned off the editor now, the html window still remains on the product admin pages.

is the html editor causing this error message? how do i get rid of it and am i destined to a boring display because i can't use an html editor?

What browser are you using? Did you try updating your browser? Does it do it if you use a different browser?

hi thanks, switching browsers from safari to firefox got rid of the error message and allowed me to edit text. but whe i tried to reactivate the HTMLAREA editor it wouldn't show up on the firefox browser.... at least it's not as glitchy though..

Safari -- you're using a Mac? It might be a Mac version of Firefox issue then. Sorry I can't be of more help but all I know about Macs is the secret sauce....

Wait, that's Big Macs.

I've gotten that same message just since I upgraded to 1.3.8. I have no idea what causes it, but things seem to run.
I have not tried to use the zen html editor, so I can't say if it's related to that.
If you get an answer to what the message means, I'd like to know what it is, too.

I hvae been seeing another message for several months every time I start up Safari. It says something similar about a plugin that is not compatible, so it won't run it. I don't recall installing anything like that so I can't uninstall it. I wonder if it's just a weird thing with Safari. I suppose we should report it to Safari or Apple and see what they know.
