Newsletter Sign Up

Hi there, I'm new to the forum. I've only had my cart up for a couple of months but recently bought a Google AdSense ad and have gotten several hits as a result. One customer emailed me to sign up for our newsletter but couldn't find a 'sign up' spot. I found it under 'Create Account' and asked her to please go create an account; However, now she's emailing me that it isn't accepting her postal code (we're in Canada). I'm guessing the answer is that she should not put the space between the alpha/numeric sets but before I get back to her I wanted to find out if I even HAVE to have her do that? Can I not just have a simple newsletter signup where the customer only fills in their name and email address then verifies it? I'm uncomfortable asking people to complete an extensive form with personal info just for a newsletter. Do I need to go with an external newsletter partner such as Constant Contact or some such? I sure hope not, we don't have a lot of news yet and I'd hate to have to pay for somebody to write nothing! lol

Get the newsletter suscribe module and install it...

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

Hi Kim, my version is 1.3.8. Maybe I should try the newsletter subscribe module? I never knew such a thing existed, I'm still pretty new to zen cart.
