Problems getting to admin after upgrading

Okay i've re-uploaded my admin folder, did the SQL change for the admin password, and i'm still getting the wrong username and password message. I've cleared my cashe, i've tried FF and IE7, from what i can tell i believe my host is using MySQL4.0 (groans)
