Customising the Store Front

Hi Zenians,
I have been through a lot of the forum material, and also got THE BOOK, but I have problems finding handles for these 5 fields, so could someone please help?



A: Where to switch off or remove
B: How to adjust the displayed height of the Background banner
C: How to switch off or remove
D: Where to change the message and font size
E: How to move, remove, or change font size

Yes, I presume the explanations are out there somewhere in the forum, but if somebody could tell me it would be much appreciated, because I don't know where to find them or what they are called.

I do hope you've set up your custom template. If not, search the FAQs/Tutorials for "overrides" before you start your changes.

And no, I haven't set up any custom templates yet. Wanted to know how to customize them first, and am getting there eventually

Is it anywhere obvious one could put up something like this for all the elements in Zen Cart, as that might reduce the frustration level for many of us tyros?

Well, not really, - more like in the Wiki, I guess.

There is a bit of this on page 244 in THE BOOK, but Goh Koon has been rather brief on the matter.

As I go along I'll be making such notes for my own use, and will be very happy to share them.
FAQs and keywords can be fine, but when one doesn't know where to look. and/or the exact keyword, it can be very time consuming and frustrating.
