Will PHP work if you put it in ezpage?

Using my Zencart -admin -tools -define ezpages. -
New file : There is a text box to add Html contents.
I thinking about putting php code in there. Will php work if I add it that way?

Well I going just link to a external page with the php on it that will take care of the problem.
