I merged the 1.3.8 and the current code, ftp-ed incl. zinstall
I go to zc_install/index.php, next
1) cant find admin/bla , yes because i renamed the admin dir for security, renamed it back to /admin
2) there is no database upgrade option only install
3) so i copied both /admin and /blablaadmin to the dir and still the same: no database upgrade option
I know the config files are ok (in the instructions it says "database connection might not be ok" because i can still see the site and actually login to the site.
Anybody knows why/workaround?

When i install a new database and run the exported sql over it it obviously... is the same as the old on "drop table...etc...", is there a workaround?
I now ran the sql patch from directly within zinstall and it seems to be ok at first sight.

In your /cache/ folder there is a zcInstall log file and maybe even an exceptions file.
What messages is it showing in there with respect to your database and version detection?.

Not quite sure what that means? If it means you uploaded the 1.3.8 files over top of your current files, that is how you would normally do upgrade.I merged the 1.3.8 and the current code
You don't rename your 'admin' dir. until after the update.
Make sure your 2 config files use "admin" in any required paths then load the "zc_install/index.php" again.
