Default Shared SSL cert error in IE7 but not FF. Please Help.

    Hello All,

I need some help figuring out why I am getting an SSL certificate error in IE7. I am using a shared certificate from IX Web hosting. I don't get the error in FF. I have set one up before in ZenCart but didn't have any issues.

    Here is the site URL.

    http://www.cleanroom-services.com/store/index.php

    Thanks for you help.

In your config files, remove the www from the secure domain name, so that it is just:

    https://cleanroom-services.c2.ixwebhosting.com

That then gives you secure, authenticated access to: https://cleanroom-services.c2.ixwebh...ain_page=login with all browsers.

Thanks for the help Absolute. That fixed the issue. I misread a post when searching the forums for a resolution and thought it said "www" was required for it to work without warnings.

This very much depends on exactly how your SSL is setup. With most private SSLs, you need to include the www. With your SSL, as it is a shared one, you are running your store as a subdomain in effect of your hosts main SSL, which is why you don't need the www.
