Default When installing blank page after phpbb

    Hi All,

I am installing ZenCart for the first time, and i am having this really dumb error.

After selecting that i do NOT want to use a phpbb forum with it, and clicking the save button i just get a blank page/

    - All files have chmod 777 where needed.
    - Database is ok

    Could anyone help?

    Thanks a lot!

With my 30-40 installs and the several thousand others - I do not think that this is a 1.3.8 issue...

I'm having the same problem. What is a PM? (other than 'personal message')...

    Cheers,

    lostpencil,

    PM is personal messages...

What tools does your host provide? cPanel or?
Do you know the LAMP environment? phpsuexec or?

    other details that might assist...

Have you gotten it to work? I too have the same problem with the blank page coming up when choosing not to have a PHPbb.

I see this in certian caases and do not know what the issue is as many including myself install this many times on Linux servers with no issues -

I would try to reload all the files a it seems that most are not getting a full non-corrupt upload when they see this

I usually upload the zip and expand it on the server

Apparently this has to be with a problem transferring files. I am glad lots of people use FileZilla now, but it seems its a problem with it as I had to transfer files twice for it to work.

I also had this problem. I would get to the phpBB step and after I saved my settings (no phpBB), it would bring up a blank page.

I followed kobra's suggestion and uploaded the zip file and then expanded it from there. I used FileZilla to change the permissions once everything was uploaded and expanded, since my webhost has a drop-down for permission levels and likes to stop at 775.

Uploading the zip was also quicker than expanding it on my local machine and then uploading all the files and directories, which makes sense.
