After I've upgraded the v1.3.8a, I noticed that all welcome emails being generated, which is set to HTML by default, are being sent out as plain text. Tests were performed using hotmail and yahoo email clients.

What is your "Email Transport" setting? If it's not set to "PHP", try that.

I think it´s the same. Only when I change the language to english it will send HTML.
