When you attempt to install it again, you have to remove all db changes it made first, otherwise you will run the installation patch twice and hence got the problem.

As for the currently problem you get, it's a mix of 2 things:
    1. Your product names contain special characters
    2. A flaw in the way SSU remove short words.

If you downloaded the module from the download section of Zen, I suspect you are using 2.9.6?

    lamb-1-2-banjo-assembly-for-m-c-p-58
The -m-c- there is from m/c in the name, and it will cause SSU to malfunction. A hot fix will be applied for version 3.3.1

In the mean time, the easiest fix is to somehow rename that product and then clear cache.

Testing version 3.3.1 is now available with the language bug fix mentioned above

    Regards

@tacoma: if you are using 2.9.6 and want to upgrade to 3.3.1, make sure:
    1. you run php5
    2. read the upgrade note first.

Basically, all the dirty works have been done already.
YES, this is great. Just finished a Joomla website and it has the alias feature too. I love that flexibility. Yes, a default, automatic feature would be great. Will it take the product name as the default if no alias is defined?

Well, it's probably the only way to go if you want links to be auto generated.

    Thanks for the update yellow1912.

I'm running PHP5. I looked over the upgrade doc.

I went ahead and did the upgrade, and then this.

    When trying to visit mydomain/admin

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home2/lambcomp/public_html/lamb/ajax/xajax5/xajax_core/plugin_layer/support/xajaxEvent.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home2/lambcomp/public_html/lamb/ajax/xajax5/xajax_core/plugin_layer/xajaxEventPlugin.inc.php on line 33

I'm sure I overlooked something. I'll keep at it. I hate working on stuff right after lunch. All of my blood is directed to my stomach to help with the digestion process, leaving little oxygen carrying blood for my brain.

OK - One of the cache directories didn't upload. Fixed that.

Ill test it out the rest.

    Update:

The fix for the weird characters works. The previous issue is corrected.

Do I need to clear a table out of the database? I can't get to SSU Manager

    Admin->Extras->SSU Manager

    1050 Table 'links_aliases' already exists
    in:
    [CREATE TABLE links_aliases ( id int(10) NOT NULL auto_increment, link_url varchar(255) NOT NULL, link_alias varchar(255) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (id), UNIQUE KEY link_url (link_url) ) ENGINE=MyISAM;]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

I dropped the 'link_aliases' table, and all is good.
