How do I add links to catagories on home page?

[FONT=Arial]OK, so I'm most likely missing something really simple. I'm using Zen Cart ver. 1.3.7 and do my editing with Dreamweaver CS3.
What I am trying to do is add links from certain highlighted words on the home page to various product categories. Problem is, I have no idea where to find those to select them in for the link box in Dreamweaver. ie; I have the work Chess in bold in the text on the home page and want the customer to be able to click on that word and go directly to that category. You may see what I have so far at [/FONT]http://www.raysgeneralstore.com.[FONT=Arial] I have tried to copy and paste from the address bar for that page but it does not work.
Help, what am I looking for or doing wrong? Where do I find the link information?
All help and suggestions appreciated, but please understand, I am not a programmer so apply the KISS principal.

with &zenid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX appended and NEVER use an address with a zenid.

I'm not sure I understand what you're telling me. I do not see where the &zenid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is appended, nor do I even know what it means.
I know I can not use the full address for the link ( I've tried), and I've tried the /index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3 part, that does not work.
How do I know if an address has a zenid?

I don't use dreamweaver and it is not a good tool for a php site....hand add/code what I posted and for your chess category it is

This may or may not do what you expect in DW but will on your site

Thanks, I got everything to work. Just did a copy and paste the address.

Quite easy with DW, the only difference is you must include the HTTP://www. for a ZenCart site while the other sites I've worked on you only include the internal path. That's why I was not getting the results I expected. Still not sure why you need the full path for an internal move.

I still do not where to find the address in the code.

I'm curious why DW is not good for a PHP site and what would you recommend?

See big red letters in post #4....not in the code - load the page and see the address in the browser address bar...

DW is great for html or ssi/html sites where the pages exist....in php the actual loaded pages do not exist until you request them and then the server assembles it - soooo DW has little to work with

I hand code it all as there is no WYSIWYG editor for php that I know of
