Default Why CC payment method appears in checkout?

    Hi,

I'm running WPP UK in sandbox mode.

When I get to the checkout there are 2 payment methods that I can choose; Credit Card or PayPal.

Why is the credit card option displayed even though I have turned it off in payment modules? It asks for a card number but at this stage of the proceedings there is no SSL security?

I thought the idea of WPP was to get to checkout then go straight to PayPal's secure payment area?

    What am I missing?

    Thanks.

Website Payments Pro ... is a CC processing option ... which offers CC fields directly on your site, which are processed by PayPal discreetly.

If you don't want that service, or haven't signed up for it, don't use that module.

    Hi DrByte,

    Thanks for your response.

So just to clarify, the website would need to be using HTTPS at that point in the checkout so the cutomers CC details would be encrypted when sent to PayPal?

    Thanks.

If you want to properly protect your customers' data when they're entering information, then yes, you should add SSL support to your website.
