Unable to logged in suddenly

Hi,

I was unable to log in to my admin page all of the suddenly and I'm afraid that my site have been hacked.

I tried to get a brand new pass word but was still unable to log in after that.
It kept going back to the log in page.

What went wrong and how can i solve the problem?

I an running version 1.3.6

You say you cannot get into ADMIN... Can you still see your SHOP ?

You will have to use your FTP program to see if there is any significant change to some of the core PHP files.

And if you have phpAdmin (or similar) create a back-up of your database as soon as you can, and store it off-line.

If you provide more detail about what you can and cannot see on your webshop, we may be able to offer specific advice.

Try changing encryption (your password), via phpMyAdmin, to: 351683ea4e19efe34874b501fdbf9792:9b

This makes your Admin PW: admin
Does not change your Admin Username

Then login and immediately change your Admin password.
Admin > Tools > Admin Settings: reset pswd

STRONGLY ADVISE BACKING UP DATABASE FIRST!!


Note: if using the above because of a suspected hack/crack, Do Not Use the same password as before.

My site hoster manage to solve the problem. It was cause by their recent upgrade to PHP 5.2.

Sorry to have bother you without checking out with them first. I panicked when I was unable to login after several tries as I have not encounter such problem since I got it installed since early 2007. Was afriad that the site was being hacked.

Your should now upgrade to 1.3.8a as this version is more tolerant of a server-side PHP upgrade.

Hi!

I have been unable to log into my admin all day and I asked for my password to be resent but the email has disappeared into cyberspace (NOT happy). I have been having problems this past 2 weeks with customer order emails not being sent out and I thought I had solved the problem.

I was wondering if this code is universal? Will it work for my website? If so, I can get into myPHP but I don't know where to go to change the encryption.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi again! I plucked up enough courage to look in the database tables and found the spot where I needed to change the password. All is well and I can now log in to admin again...phew!!!!

The mystery of the missing emails...well that is an unsolved saga!

I have the exact same problem as rax but there have been no changes on the server and I have other zen cart sites on the server that work.

I tried changing the password as suggested but there is no change. Resend password does not change the password nor does the screen change when I put in the correct email address.

I made some changes recently to the 2 sites but nothing in admin - only some minor template changes.

Any suggestions? How can I debug?
