Default Install blank at Zen Cart™ Setup - Database Setup

    Hi there,

I'm trying to do a new installation. I'm on a shared linux server through 1&1.
When I get to Zen Cart™ Setup - Database Setup, I see:

"Next we need to know some information on your database settings. Please carefully enter each setting in the appropriate box and press Save Database Settings to continue.'"

The rest of the page is completely blank.

The URL to where this happens is:
    http://www.champlainpictures.com/sto...database_setup

Any ideas? If there is additional info you need to help me, let me know.

    Thanks.

Have you gone to 1and1.com and set up your MySQL data base inside the control panel? That is the only thing I can think of.

I am also on 1and1.com and Scan Alert did a PCI Compliant scan on my website and found security holes in the shared server I am on. Have been trying to get 1and1.com to fix the issue which so far they refuse. The problem is the apache 1.3.29 version is very old and the credit cards standards require at least 1.3.38. I am giving them one more week to fix the problem or I am moving.

Yes, the database is set up. I've used it for other things.

Unfortunately that didn't help. Thanks for the thought, though...

Thanks. My problem is that my ISP moved my site to a new server but appears to have forgotten to move the data on the database as well (he just copied over the structure). The mind boggles. Do you know whether I have to tell zc where to find the new database, ie do I have to physically change the path to the database ?

    Cheers

    Pete
