Paypal IPN set with Instant Download - HELP.

I really do not know much of what I am doing, what I want to do is setup paypal and instant software downloading...

Can someone tell me if i setup paypal IPN then where do i go from
there to set it up for buyers to get their instant download link/file

Do i need to use paypal IPN or another paypal option, zencart
seems to have more then one.

Downloads are controlled by the Payment Modules setting for the Orders Status (orders_status) ...

The default settings are that when the Orders Status is set to <= 2 (Processing) and >= 4 (Updated) ... which also includes between them orders_status 3 (Delivered) ... the Download is immediately available ...

If set to Orders Status Pending or orders_status = 1 or something higher than 4 then the Download is not available until this Orders Status is changed on the Order itself ...

This allows for Payment Modules like Check.Money Order moneyorder to be set as Processing (orders_status 1) and the Download is not immediately available until you have the check in hand and update the Orders Status for the Order to >=2 or <=4 ...

But at the same time, a Payment Module such as AuthorizeNet could be set to Orders Status Processing (orders_status 2) and the Download would be immediately available for download ...

PayPal, by default, is setup to be Downloads immediately available ...
