Watch out for that- There are now two shop cart sideboxes. The standard one and one called "shopping cart with reward"
Thanks for the fix andy
I can just use, one correct?
Also a question or maybe a suggestion. Is there away that the merchant can their own catalog of products, customers can redeem their points for, instead of having their complete inventory available to redeem points?
Thanks again for your hard work on this mod
Yes, you don't have to use both. As far as being able to select which categoris give points, I think you can set that up now. You can define different ratios for different categories now. I would guess, though I haven't tried it, that if you just put 0 in for the ratio that no points would be earned.
I'm sure Andy will correct me if I'm wrong.
one other thing, when i was looking at some product with a friend. he brought something to my attention.
The product shows like this:
price: $229
reward Points: 229
With it showing like this, it could be taken by the customer, that they can buy the product for $229 or for 229 reward point. Maybe it could read:
Price: $229
Reward Points Earned: 229
What do you think? Just a suggestion.
JC, you can change that yourself in the definition file. You'll find it in includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/YOUR CUSTOM FOLDER/reward_points.php
The define you need to edit is PRODUCT_REWARD_POINT_TAG.
You could even change it to something like "The number of reward points earned on purchase:"
This looks to be an impressive add-on - Thanks for the effort Andrew, I'll bet its popularity is going to keep you jumping!
A couple of questions: Is the Rewards program Always active for anyone who is logged-in? Is it possible to have the rewards program be a group that a person joins (added from the admin)? I'd like to have customers pay a yearly fee to belong and get a set discount. (such as 10% off all purchases)
Also, from the readme:Help a mathematically-challenged guy here: If that is set to 0.10 then the customer would be getting 10% off all of their purchases, correct? If you install the Reward Points Order Total Module you can also set a Redeem Ratio. This is set to 0.01 as default so each point redeemed is worth 1 cent/pence.
Finally; what happens with sale items and the purchase of items such as gift certificates?
Thanks!
