    Default Unnecessary Paypal text

    Hey there in paypal.php you have

    define('TEXT_INFO_PAYPAL_IPN_HEADING', 'PayPal IPN');

    also in english.php there is

    define('BOX_CUSTOMERS_PAYPAL', 'PayPal IPN');

    The "IPN" is not needed. Customers don't want/need to know what paypal method we are using, they just want to know it is paypal...and that it works.

    Thanks for the critique, but that isn't a bug, it's a language definaition and can be changed as you see fit.

    True true. But I think it is confusing to have it as the default.

    Perhaps we should make you guess which one is which?

    I guess I should have been more clear, I mean on the checkout page. A customer doesn't need to know "Paypal IPN" Most of them would have no idea what that means. Just "Paypal" is plenty.

    Changing the language definitions is extremely easy using the overrides system, as outlined in this FAQ:

    Personsonally I don't think so and I agree with Kim.
    Ope source source it can work for you, it may not or not. If it may you should accommodate to see it fit. Fixing here fixing there. And we you do most of the time we screw up.
    I this case the developer created a Text to make it different from Papal Express.
    Is not a bug, if does not go with you can modify it or even instead of text you can put credit card logos.
    There is a lot of variation and modifications that works for me and for you is trash and viceversa

    When you are dealing with software that has multiple avenues of Payment and Shipping and Order Totals and language definitions ...

    You will often find that things are more verbose ...

    PayPal for instance uses 3 flavors in Zen Cart ...

    Not declaring it is often confusing to people ...

    We have had many who have gone so far as to install all three and still do not fully understand the difference ... until the see the three running side by side with the different text ...

    Everyone will want something different ...

    You happen to want PayPal ...

    My Last client wanted Credit Cards ...

    And the client before that wanted PayPal/Credit Cards ...

    So who should we cater to?

    PayPal IPN is what it is ... so that is really the best choice here ...

    Thanks for expressing your thoughts on the subject ...
