Prev/Next/ at the bottom - how to remove

How do you remove the prev/next at the bottom or top to keep that from showing up on the pages?

is it possible to make the prev/next stay within the category? i have some multi linked products - i.e. egyptian cats in cats and also egyptian - if i leave the prev/next button on once its on the egyptian cat it doesnt go to the next cat it then goes into egyptian - not much use really and very confusing to customers - is there any way of making it stay in that particular category?
