Default Shipping

Hello all,
This is a screen shot of my shipping modules

I have free shipping on digital products, but the buyers do not downoad them, the owner emails them.
The Digital delivery selection always comes up as the default shipping, I have uninstalled it, I have changed sort order, but still it is defasult, I want the $5 shipping to be selected as default.

How do I do this...please

You need to check the tutorials/FAQs about how to setup Downloads ...

They should never show the checkout_shipping when they are the only product in the cart ...

Thanks, but I dont have any downloads, I just want free shipping to link up if one certain atribute is selected. Thats where I keep getting stuck with the FAQs, it says to set up downloads, I dont have any.

Can it still be done

Forgetting all about downloads or attributes, how do I ame my $5 shipping the default...please anyone.

I have the same problem, however I do not offer any digital downloads or anything like that. I have enabled the FlatRate shipping module amongst others, however the little check box always defaults to FlatRate no matter what sort order I have them in. What must I change in the code in order to make either none of them selected by default or the top option to be selected by default.

I think I figured it out, what you need to do is:

1.) Remove all shipping modules.
2.) Install the module you want to be checked by default first.
3.) Now install all the other modules you want.

The first module you installed should be the one that stays checked by default.

This worked for me, let me know if you can't get it working and I will mess around with my ZC some more to find out exactly how I got it working correctly.

Shipping is based on lowest cost with the exception of Store Pick up and Free Shipping which are not defaulted to ...

Thanks so much for your help but that didnt work for me.
As you can see my free shipping isnt actuall a proper free shipping I just used Per Item (changed the name) and set it at $0, and my other is the table rate, So if you do have any other ideas it would be much appreciated.

Ajeh - do you mean that it defaults to the lowest set shipping?
