Changing height of image on product listing

We are trying to change the height of the area the images take up on the product listing page without stretching the images themselves ( ie turning off proportional images ) and we dont want to resize the images as they have over 500 images on the site.

If you look at http://82.110.105.87/aswatersports.c...ex&cPath=14_18 and check out the products you will see the images are less in height than they should be and the text underneath is going into this white box which should be in the blue area

How can we set a height for the location the image is placed in so the images sit in the area and the text is in the correct area underneath. I know how do do in a html site with tables etc but not on zencart without without spoiling the image ( stretching & turn off proportional )

You can set the size of your images from your admin configuration images.

I have set the size but some images are smaller in height when taking into account the width, so they proportionally take up less height and this causes the spacing problem.

What i want is to have a set size for the images ( which I have done ) and any that take up less height are centred in the white box and I code in a way to set the height the image area takes up so the text underneath doesnt go into the white box

My question to you is. Why do you have different picture size?
If you want to look professional you must consider using one picture size. You will be able to have a the same look and picture size through out the site ( in thumbnail, and large pictures).

I would suggest that you edit the images and crop the picture to one size throughout the site. Then you can set the image height in the zen cart and it would look much better and professional

The reason we have different image sizes is we are upgrading there old site and they created all the images in different sizes. We have told them to recreate images for all new products and fit to a set size. However they didnt keep the originl photos so all we have are the files they created which are too small

So im just trying to solve the problem in code for now and then they can recreate images as they go along
