help question Can I check the status of Authorize.net Transaction from Zen Cart?

    Hello,
I'm still very new to Zen Cart. I've got my site up and running, with the Authorize.net SIM payment module. I've just placed a test order with my credit card and everything seems to have gone through fine. The order shows up in Zen Cart as "Pending" and the order is showing up in my Authorize.net account.

My question is: Does Zen Cart report the status of the charge so that I know it's safe to ship the order? Or is it up to me to log into Authorize.net and figure out if the charge for each order was successful?

    Thanks!

The default Zencart 'order status' is 'Pending'. Just means that as far as Zencart is concerned, the order was completed. You can change it if you want in Admin - Localization - Orders Status

If, when you submitted the order, Authorize.net said it went through, was approved, whatever terminology they use, you're good to go.

Or, if you don't want to change the sitewide default, in your Authorize.net module, you can set THAT module's Payment Status to "Processing" if you want orders to be marked as "Processing" when the response comes back from authorize.net
