help question How to increase model char. limit of 32 chars.?

In the model field the character limit has been set to 32 characters. I'm in need of expanding this limit. In the SQL-database, zen_products table and in products_model field the limit has been set to: varchar(32).
I'm wondering if it's just to increase this limit to: varchar(64) or must I take into account something else as well?

Im aware that more characters might break the design/layout when rendering the detailed product view page in the browser, but that is a small issue I can fix easily.
(I'm in no need for CSS help here)

    Any input would be great!

Yes you have evaluated this correctly and can reset the var to 48 or 64 or? and deal with the rendering later

Hi, I was in need of doing this exact same thing. This thread helped me a lot! Many thanks.

However, model #'s are still being truncated to 32 characters on Invoices (in the admin, not email). I'm presuming this is just a display thing of the admin invoice generator. Any clues as to where I can fix that so it displays the full model #?

    Thx.
