Quantity Discount Display

I've looked a bit and couldn't find anything, probably because it's too simple. I would like for the quantity discount display grid to have fewer rows and more columns. That is fewer horizontal spaces, and more verticle spaces or grids. This is within the product info page.

The number of columns is dependent on how many discount ranges you have defined in the Product Price Manager. The number of rows should not need to be changed. Product Price Manager can be accessed at admin-> catalog-> Products Price Manager

Perhaps you can rephrase to help us understand why more columns and what is to appear in them?

I don't see an option to control how the quantity discount grid will display on my product page through the price manager. I have 11 discount levels and currently they display 2 boxes tall or high or up and down, and 6 boxes wide or long or left to right. I wonder if it can be changed to display 1x12 or 12x1 or 3x4 or 4x3 or 2x6 or 6x2, but preferably 1 high and 12 wide, or 1 up and 12 across, or 12 columns (like the romans) and one row (like you do a boat).
