    Default How to remove unwanted account creation fields?

    Please tell me how to perform the 3 tasks below:

    ============

    The only fields I need to keep in the "Address Details" box are:

    - First Name
    - Last Name
    - Country, So ...

    Task 1: Remove all other fields in this box.

    =============

    I don't need the "Additional Contact Details" box (telephone, etc.). So ...

    Task 2: Remove this box altogether

    =============

    I will, of course keep the "Login Details" box (E-mail, Password, Confirm Password). But I don't need the Newsletter Subscription box. So ...

    Task 3: Remove the Newsletter box.

    Many thanks,
    Jeff

    Have you looked at Admin> Configuration> Customer Details?
    Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

    Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

    Yes, Kim. I have set to "0" or "false" all the fields that I don't want.

    What we now see are the fields left that cannot be removed from the Admin>Configuration>Customer Details.

    I am seeking advice on which files and codes to tweak.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Hi,

    Did you manage to do it, by any chance? I managed to remove the fields from the new registration account page. My problem is that i need to remove them from the update address details, once a user is logged in. Did you manage to do that? If so can you give me a guide line which files to modify?

    Thanks

    Some (including State) can be removed in Admin - Configuration - Customer Details

    For the rest, you'd need to remove (or comment out) the appropriate lines in includes/templates/template_default/tpl_modules_create_account.php, then place the changed file in includes/templates/your_template

    Not sure about the Update, but there is a file called includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_account_edit_default.php
