There's Paypal IPN and Paypal Express? Which is going to be more transparent to my customers who don't have paypal accounts?
Or should I just find a credit card processor?
Is this outfit that has the banner ad on this forum decent?

For my money (literally) you should have a 'real' credit card processor. The outfits listed under 'Partners' at the top of the page are all decent, including PayPal Website Payments Pro. You'll need a SSL certificate, too. There's a pretty good comparison of the various PayPal options on their site.
Website Payments Pro is the most transparent ... customers can enter a CC number for payment without knowing that PayPal is the one doing the processing.
They'll see the Express Checkout as an available option, but are not required to use it if you have Payments Pro enabled (although you're required to offer it).
