Default moving to a new domain

Ok as motof you know I have a site darktowerhobbies Anyhow I have to shut that domain down and get another domain. What I need to know is this:

    1) How do I get everything moved to the new server (I understand the ftp stuff)and then make it work

    2) do I have to make a new mysql server name the same as the one that I am using now?

    3) if I make a backup of the mysql server can I just resotre it to the new server without issue?

Please keep this simple I am frustrated enough already

    Thank You

I guess I am just curious...as to why you have to abandon the current domain name??? Just if you want to share.

Below are related things and you only need add to these adjusting your configure.php files to the new domain name so that maybe the test server article might be more inline??

I looked and it appears to be functional - no errors

    Did you square this?

If not, be a bit more descriptive over it is all messed up

yes I got it to work basically and I don't suggest it I made a backup of the catalog and then downloaded everything to my home pc then installed a fresh copy of zen cart on the new server .

Next I copied all my site on top of the new server and restored the back up it all worked. I have no idea why it just did and still does.

    Thanks all
