Where is the shipping address field length setting?

On the page /index.php?main_page=checkout_shipping_address, where is the definition of the shipping address block? My street_address field is displaying too long, and changing it in:
\includes\templates\MYTEMPLATE\templates\tpl_modules_checkout_new_address.php doesn't seem to have any effect.

Same problem occurs on login screen...

What am I missing??? Where is it really pulling from?

Both Street Address and Email are displaying too long.. Mind you I'm not concerned about the maximum length of the field, just the display length.

I've been wondering that myself. But then I saw this post:

He says,

I have decided to make a number of fields in zen_address_book and zen_customers 64 characters in length, as opposed to 32

Previously only "street address" was 64 characters long - and thus in create_account it was a much longer text field, as the length of the HTML field is derived directly from the SQL field length it relates to.

This makes the layout of the name and address fields in the "create_account" template more consistent.

So that must be the answer--the display size of the field is calculated dynamically based on the size of the table field itself.

You can either change the actual table field size like he did or try the instructions in this post to override that dynamic calculation:
