Attributes Question

I am currently trying to set up zen cart. I have a list of about 1000 products, and many of them are the same with different colors and sizes. For Example I will have
4" Pink Flower Vase #UC553
4" Blue Flower Vase #UC552
4" White Flower Vase #UC551

Each one of these products has a different Product Code, I was thinking of using attributes for this, but they would all be stored under the same product ID and would therefor have the same Product Code. Is there a way to associate different Product Codes with different attributes or will I have to hack the code?

Unfortunately Zen Cart doe not have this functionality at this time
