Thanks for the replies. I'm actually wanting to edit the content of the email but when i go to email/email_template_welcome.html i can't edit the content in that file.

What do you want to edit in specific? Please explain in detail
The variables which you can see there have the actual content

Hi I'm new at this..

I'v been trying to get zen-cart to send mails according to how i edit the templates in the /emails directory. But somehow nothing is sent according to the templates.

is there some setting to enable this?

any help would be great!

Hi Lee,

Not sure if this is what you are wanting to do... to edit the content of the welcome email go to the file:

includes\languages\english\create_account.php

at around line 36 you will find the 'define('EMAIL_TEXT'... here you can change the content of the email.. make back-ups before editing and remember to save the file in your custom template folder.

Hi all :)
I want to edit my welcome email as well. I want to remove the discount coupon information and add information for my wholesale customers. So I found the file, do I just remove the entire discount coupon and gv lines all together? Or just the info in the ' ' after the define info?
