It's not simple to answer without the information asked for when you start a thread.
IF you search using developer's tool kit in the admin >> tools and find imgLink, you can take the code out of the file.
Many templates use different coding. Standard Zen Cart has imgLink as the class for that. If you don't find it, we'll nee a link to help.

i tried the looking in the developers tool kit but no joy. Its difficult to produce a link because i'm configuring on a local server.
i'll try firebug to see if finds the code
thanks for your help
Developer's Tool Kit will work local or remote. Enter imgLink in the last box on the left, select all files - catalog in the drop down, and click on search.
Are you using an override folder?
Are you using a "store bought" template?

Thankd very much i found the ImgLink in a few folder how do i now disable it?
do i just delete the files?
Actually, the easiet way to do this without messing up the code is...
go to /includes/languages/english.php
find: define('TEXT_CLICK_TO_ENLARGE', 'larger image');
and remove the larger image text. So now you have define('TEXT_CLICK_TO_ENLARGE', '');

Thanks but if I click on the image of the product, a larger image appears. How would I change this to deactivate it?
Any suggestions for this?
Thanks
As you have found out, it's not a simple matter of editing out 'larger image'.
Please refer back to my posts on how to find the link OR (heaven forbid) hit reply and answer the posting tips.
An answer is simple if we can see the site and know about mods, etc.
