Setting up Taxes and Free Domestic Shipping

I'm having trouble setting up my Zen cart so that it charges taxes in my state, and gives free shipping on all orders only to US customers. I would like to disallow international orders. How do I do this? I've searched and am coming up empty. Thanks guys.

You can setup a Zone for your state to manage the taxes ... a search in the Tutorials/FAQs on tax should find several references to taxes such as:

For Free Shipping, you can setup the Modules ... Order Totals ... Shipping ot_shipping to have Shipping Free for National Orders ...

Install ONLY the Item Rate and set the Zone to one for the US Only ...

Now it will read:

Not Available At This Time
Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time.
Please contact us for alternate arrangements.

You can do a search via the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... for any text that you see on the screen to locate the language file ...

Is there a way to offer domestic Free Shipping on some of my products but still be able to charge for international shipping of the same product? In otherwords, the product is available to ship both domestic and international, but shipping is free only for domestic ship to addresses.

Just a followup, I have modules-> orders total-> shipping already set up with Provide Free Shipping For Orders Made set to national and Free Shipping For Orders Over set to $0.00. However, ZenCart still displays free shipping for both domestic and international orders.

The problem is there are a lot of places in admin to set free shipping settings and I suspect there are conflicts between multiple free shipping settings. I would like the free shipping image to appear when appropriate, however I can do without the free shipping image if necessary to meet the domestic free shipping (yes) and international free shipping (no) criteria.

I'm not sure I need the last three zone definitions. I'm thinking as long as I have the "All Approved" zone which includes all countries I ship to that I don't need separate zones for Canada (CA), United Kingdom (UK) and US-Continental.
Also, I have no clue what the Product Type "Product Free Shipping" is for and how it is implemented or whether it applies to my situation.

When processing Product 216 and similarly configured products, free shipping is displayed for all domestic and international shipping addresses. I do not want to offer free shipping on these products when shipped internationally.

Okay... I'll disable Free Shipper and try one of the other Free shipping modules. I couldn't find a good tutorial on this subject and appreciate your help.
