Default "Back Up My Site" Mod doesn't seem to work?

Can anyone tell me about this "Back Up My Site PHP Files" module? I have installed it on my test site but it doesn't seem to work. Is anyone else using it and if so, what did you have to do to get it working?

    Thank you

I guess nobody uses this mod. Seems like a good idea for a backup though.

Does anyone know of a better backup module to add? Or would it be just as simple to manually backup?

If you have a host that provides you with the cPanel account manager - use the backup function there

You're right and it would be a lot easier that way.

I couldn't get it to work either. I'm just backing up manually..

you are aware that you only need to backup your actual files to your desktop Once,
then only IF you actually make a change to the files...

you really only need to backup the database on a regular basis and there is a module in the downloads section for this

It's funny that I wasn't even thinking that the backup of the files only needed to be done once. Thank you for reminding me of this.

I have installed the module for backing up the the database and it works great.
