Hi,

This is an interesting 'feature'.

Try entering 'Lynx Black Cat' in your search bar (without the quotes - and in any other places you feel like trying it)

Most Zen-Cart installations I've tried this on crash with a 403 error in some but not all fields.

I've spent hours trying to debug various bits and pieces and cannot find any reason for it. It just seems that Zen-Cart just doesn't like the phrase 'Lynx Black Cat' - it even causes the Zen-Cart contribs shop search to crash.

I had a product called the same, and it always caused my site to crash whether I was editing the product, searching for it, or whatever. Total weirdness.


Any ideas anyone?

Mine works ok. Interesting problem though, I'll be sure to check this thread again.

I had a problem with this on a site I used to manage. The problem was with the search term "flight of the lynx". It is a problem with mod_security not letting "lynx" be in the url. There is a fix for it but I don't know the specifics. I'll see if I can get my host to tell me.......

As barco said it's a hosting configuration issue. You'll have to get them to remove the "lynx" detection from their mod_security rules.

Thanks team for a swift response - and apologies for accusing ZC of being at fault.

My host's setting for mod_security in Apache causes the problem.

If I am told of a user-level targetted override, I'll report back here.
