    Default OK...why didn't this work?

I wanted to change the privacy notice message. Since there is an includes/languages/classic directory, I created an includes/languages/scopedin directory, copied the html_includes directory into it, and modified the define_privacy.php file.

The changes didn't "take." What did I do wrong?

    Thanks...

You also notice that there is a classic folder inside of the html_includes folder......so you need to move the overrides folder you created one level down inside of the html_includes directory and name it to match your template.

so to clarify you override the html_includes from with in the html_includes with a folder matching your template name

The directory should look like this..

    /includes/languages/english/html_includes/scopedin

That is if scopedin is the name of your override set up.

from the html_includes folder copy the files you wish to modify into scopedin folder, not the folder itself..

Yes the overrides setup takes a little getting used to but once it clicks, your off and running and you'll wonder what you were stressing about.
